Pasta Cake by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

  • Elbow macaroni 6 cups
  • Flour 2-3 tbsp
  • Milk 3/4 liter
  • Oil 3-4 tbsp
  • Butter 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oregano 1 tsp
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Cream 1/2 cup
  • Cheddar cheese 1 small packet
  • Capsicum 1 small
  • Ketchup 1/2 cup
  • Chili garlic sauce 1/2 cup
  • Breadcrumbs as required
  • Mayonnaise 1 cup
  • Chicken 1/2 kg
  • Chopped garlic 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Boil macaroni according to the instruction of the packet.
  2. Make white sauce by mixing flour, butter, oil, salt, pepper, cream and cheese.
  3. In a separate pan, heat oil and saute garlic then add chicken salt and pepper, 2 tsp tomato ketchup.
  4. Mix the white sauce, macaroni and chicken.
  5. In a round mould brush with the butter or oil and arrange capsicum and ketchup at the base.
  6. Spread the breadcrumbs and press over the first layer.
  7. Pour half of the mixture in the mould and then spread chili garlic sauce and the remaining of the mixture.
  8. Keep inside the oven for few minutes until the cheese melts.
  9. Revert the mould so the design will come up.
  10. Garnish it with mayonnaise and ketchup.
