Ingredients:

  • Oil 3/4 cup
  • Butter softened 3 tbsp
  • Maida 2-1/4 cups
  • Salt 3/4 tsp
  • Ice water 1/2 cup

For Filling:

  • Peeled apples 1 kg
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Granulated sugar 1/2 cup
  • Maida 3 tbsp
  • Cinnamon 1/2 tsp
  • Egg yolk 1
  • Sugar 2 tsp

Method:

  1. Beat oil with butter in bowl, make smooth paste, add salt and maida and stir it.
  2. Then knead this mixture, make soft dough and keep in fridge for 1 hour.
  3. For filling: Toss apples with lemon juice in big bowl, sprinkle sugar, flour and cinnamon on apples and put on dough.
  4. Then beat egg yolk with water, add it and bake on 425 degrees C for 15 minutes.
  5. Now low temperature to 350 degrees C and bake 40 minutes more till golden.
  6. Cool on room temperature and serve.

Apple Pie is a Side Dish, prepared with Butter & Maida Dough, filled with Apples and baked in an Oven.
