Chicken Vegetable Biryani

Ingredients:

  • Boneless chicken 1/2 kg
  • Onion 250 gm
  • Tomatoes 250 gm
  • Yogurt 250 gm
  • Potatoes 2
  • Green chilies 6
  • Star anise 4
  • Boiled rice 1/2 kg
  • Yellow color 1 pinch
  • Peas 1 cup
  • Carrot 1 cup
  • Capsicum 1 cup
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Plum 50 gm
  • Coriander leaves 1/2 bunch
  • Mint leaves 1/2 bunch
  • Kewra 1 tsp
  • Nutmeg mace 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Whole mix spice 1 tbsp

Method:

  1. Heat oil, fry chicken pieces, take it out and shred it.
  2. Now fry peas, carrot, potatoes and capsicum in this oil and take it out.
  3. Then fry onion until brown in remaining oil.
  4. Now add tomatoes, yogurt, whole mix spice, red chili powder, salt, turmeric, star anise, plum and nutmeg mace.
  5. Then put shredded chicken and vegetables, simmer it for 10 minutes and roast it.
  6. Then put coriander leaves, mint leaves and green chilies and roast it.
  7. Now make layer of rice and then make layer of chicken & vegetables.
  8. Make one more layer like this, put kewra and yellow color and simmer it for 20 minutes.
