Ingredients:

  • Chana daal 350 gm
  • Water 2 cups
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Cream 1/2 cup
  • Cloves 6
  • Small cardamom 6
  • Saffron 1/2 tsp

For Tarka:

  • Ghee 1/2 cup
  • Cumin 1 tbsp
  • Crushed garlic 1 tbsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Soak daal for 30 minutes.
  2. Also put salt and red chili powder with water and boil until daal tender.
  3. Put milk, cream and yogurt in bowl and beat it.
  4. Now add mixture in daal.
  5. Then put grinded cloves and cardamom and add in daal.
  6. Now cook on low flame and give smoke of coal.
  7. Then put dissolved saffron, give tarka of ghee, cumin and garlic, put coriander leaves and serve.
