Hoisin Prawns by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Prawns 300 grams
  • Finely chopped ginger 1 tbsp
  • Onion 1
  • Cauliflower 1
  • Mushrooms 1/2 cup
  • Crushed black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Hoisin sauce 2 tbsp
  • Vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Soya sauce 2-3 tbsp
  • Oyster sauce 1 tbsp
  • Chili garlic sauce 2 tbsp
  • Chicken cube 1
  • Chinese salt 1 pinch
  • Corn flour 1 cup
  • Spring onion 2-3 strands
  • Oil as required
  • Salt to taste
  • Boiled red kidney beans 1/2 cup
  • Onion 1
  • Garlic 3-4 cloves

Method:

  1. For hoisin sauce: Heat oil in pan and fry 1 onion.
  2. Now put red kidney beans, garlic and onion in blender and make paste.
  3. Coat prawns with salt and corn flour, fry it and keep it aside.
  4. Then stir 1 onion and ginger.
  5. Now add mushrooms and cauliflower and stir it.
  6. Then add black pepper, hoisin sauce, vinegar, soya sauce, oyster sauce, chili garlic sauce, Chinese salt and salt and mix it.
  7. Then add chicken cube and water as required and cook it.
  8. Now add corn flour and cook until mixture is thick.
  9. Then mix prawns, garnish with spring onion and serve.

Hoisin Prawns is Chinese Cuisine, prepared with Prawns, coated with Flour, garnished with Spring Onion and served with Hoisin Sauce.
