Kung Pao Chicken

Ingredients:

  • Boneless chicken 1/2 kg
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Crushed garlic 2 tsp
  • Chopped green onion 2
  • Chopped capsicum 1
  • Soya sauce 2 tbsp
  • Vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Dried red chilies 4-5
  • Chili oil 2 tbsp
  • Corn flour 2 tbsp
  • Corn flour 1 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Peanuts 1/4 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Green onion for garnish
  • Stir fried Chinese rice to serve

Method:

  1. Marinate chicken with ginger garlic paste, soya sauce, chili oil and vinegar for 1 hour.
  2. Now add 2 tbsp corn flour and mix it nicely.
  3. Now add 1 tbsp oil in wok, add chicken pieces, cook each pieces for 2 minutes, put in bowl and keep it aside.
  4. Heat 1 tbsp oil in this pan, add dried red chilies, fry it and keep it aside.
  5. Then add peanuts, fry it and keep it aside.
  6. Now add garlic and green onion and cook for 1 minute.
  7. Then add capsicum and stir fry for 1 minute.
  8. Now add soya sauce and vinegar.
  9. Now add fried red chilies and peanuts and mix it.
  10. Then add sugar and cook for 1 minute.
  11. Now add 1/2 cup water and simmer it on low flame.
  12. Then dissolve 1 tsp corn flour in 1/4 cup and add in pan.
  13. Then add salt.
  14. Then add stir fry chicken and chili oil and simmer it more for 2 minutes.
  15. Now garnish with green onion and serve with Chinese rice.

Kung Pao Chicken is delicious Chinese stir fry dish. It is prepared with chicken, peanuts & vegetables. You must try this different dish.
