Stewed Noodles

Ingredients:

  • Noodles 200 gm
  • Vegetable stock 5 cups
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Onion sliced 1
  • Garlic crushed 6-8 cloves
  • Spring onion sliced 1
  • Mushroom sliced 2
  • Carrot sliced 1
  • Capsicum sliced 1
  • Salt to taste
  • White pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  • Cabbage 1 inch
  • Corn flour 1-1/2 tbsp
  • Chili oil 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Place noodles in deep pan, add vegetable stock and bring to boil.
  2. Cook over high heat for 2 minutes.
  3. Lower heat and simmer for 4-5 minutes or until noodles are almost cooked.
  4. Strain noodles and reserve stock.
  5. Heat oil in wok, add onion, garlic, spring onion, mushrooms, carrot and capsicum and stir fry for few minutes.
  6. Add salt, white pepper powder and cabbage and toss.
  7. Add noodles to vegetables.
  8. Stir fry for 1 minute and add reserved stock. Stir well.
  9. Mix corn flour with 1/2 cup water.
  10. Stir corn flour mixture into noodles.
  11. Cook, stirring frequently, over medium flame.
  12. Then pour in serving bowl, put chili oil and serve.

Stewed Noodles is delicious dish. It is prepared with noodles, stock and vegetables. You can serve it as noodles or soup. You must try this recipe.
